Make a Beaded Cupcake
Make your sweetheart a sweet treat that doesn’t go bad! Weave together pony beads in a specific pattern to create a cupcake!
Materials:
Craft Glue
Key Ring
Step 1:
Cut your Braiding Cord to 60 inches in length. Stiffen both ends by rolling it between your finger with a dab of craft glue. Allow the glue to dry. This will help when threading the beads.
Step 2:
Create a lark knot on the key ring. To create Row 1, thread (3) red Pony Beads onto the left-hand string.
Step 3:
Take your right-hand string and lace back through the beads from the other end. Pull cords tight to form this row of your Cupcake Bead Shape.
Step 4:
To create Row 2, thread the following through the left-hand string: (4) red beads. Repeat steps 4 to create Row 2.
Step 5:
To create Row 3, thread the following through the left-hand string: (6)white pony beads. Repeat step 4 to create Row 3.
Step 6:

Repeat step 4 to complete Row 5. To create Row 6, thread the following through the left-hand string: (8) white pony beads. Repeat step 4 to complete Row 6. The white and orange areas are the top frosting part of your cupcake!
Step 9:
To create Row 7, thread the following through the left-hand string: (10) pink beads. Repeat step 4 to complete Row 7. The pink beads will become the cupcake’s wrapper.
Step 10:
To create Row 8, thread the following through the left-hand string: (9) pink beads. Repeat step 4 to complete Row 7.
Step 11:
To create Row 9, thread the following through the left-hand string: (8) pink beads. Repeat step 4 to complete Row 7. Repeat this step to create Row 10, also with (8) pink beads.
Step 12:
To secure your key chain, tie a tight double knot at the end of the cord, making sure the knot is snug against the beads. Trim excess thread with scissors. Your cupcake bead shape is now ready to be given to your sweetheart!
